Free central heating – beat the deadline

16th August 2016 - 0 Comments

13244709_971227316286423_3638979255422059479_n31 August 2016 is the closing date for people in Lincolnshire to apply for free central heating  if they don’t already have any, so it’s important that anyone eligible should submit an application as soon as possible.

You may be eligible for free central heating if you don’t currently have any installed, you own your own home or rent from a private landlord (and have the owner’s permission to do the work) and you receive certain income related benefits.

Funding is for a limited time and subject to availability, entitlement checks and a technical home survey. You must get at least one of a range of qualifying benefits (such as state Pension Credit and Child Tax Credit (where your income is £16,010 or less)).

The scheme offers a cheaper and more efficient alternative to heating methods such as solid fuel open fires or portable room heaters.

To find out if you could be eligible please contact Lincolnshire Home Independence Agency on 01522 516300 or email info@lincshia.org to make an application.
