Supporting your independence

LHIA highlights the power of preventive services

7th February 2017 - 0 Comments

We have just published our Annual Review for 2015 – 2016.  The publication provides a reminder, particularly timely during the winter months, of how preventive services have the power to enhance people’s health, safety and wellbeing, whilst easing public-sector pressure and cutting costs.

Specifically, the Review shows how we have been:

  • helping more people in Lincolnshire to lead safe, healthy and independent lives;
  • preventing accidents and illness and keeping more people out of hospital;
  • developing person-centred and holistic services to achieve the best outcomes;
  • using our own and partners’ resources creatively for maximum impact.

The Review contains live links, including, on Page 7, Margaret’s story – a real-life testimony of how the Wellbeing Service helped a customer retain her independence and quality of life.

We attribute our achievements to collaboration with all stakeholders, and continue to work alongside health, care and housing commissioners to inform effective service delivery in the short, medium and long term.
